Spinal & Postural Screenings
At Carrion Chiropractic, we teach our patients personalized exercises that are designed to strengthen and correct their own unique issues and stretches which can help with their body to restore a full range of mobility. At our clinic, we perform a spinal screening, which we assess your spine for vertebral misalignment, posture abnormalities and other body signals that may warrant further chiropractic treatment of care. Postural screenings are used to pinpoint misalignments and stress points that may be causing pain, aches and discomfort in various parts of your body.
Soft Tissue Massage
At Carrion Chiropractic, we offer soft tissue massage therapy treatment. Soft tissue is the assessment, treatment and management of soft tissue injury, pain and dysfunction primarily of the neuromusculoskeletal system. What conditions is a soft-tissue massage used for? Soft-tissue massage is a massage technique that the doctor focuses on the deep layers of the muscle tissue with hands-on techniques on your muscles, ligaments and fascia in order to break adhesions and optimize your muscle function. Soft-tissue massage is usually focused on limited mobility problems, injuries, strains, posture problems, and muscle tension. This is very different than classic massage therapy which is mainly used for relaxation.
KT Taping and Graston Technique (IASTM)
We offer the Graston technique in which we use a stainless-steel instrument and special massage method to identify areas of muscle adhesion, or scar-like tissue. We also offer KT Taping (or Kinesiology tape) which helps with stabilization of the injured area in which we lightly adhere the kinesio-tape to the skin and apply pressure to the tissues which can help with stabilization and mobilization.
Laser Therapy
Cold Level Laser therapy is a safe and effective solution to relieving pain and healing the body without invasive surgery or potentially harmful medications. Cold laser can provide increased circulation to the targeted area, promoting natural healing, but it also reduces inflammation and breaks up scar tissue.
